New at theurer.com is the C3 web portal, a comprehensive and transparent service platform specially tailored to customers in the printing and packaging industry. With this portal, which is being presented at the trade fair for the first time, customers of C3 users can manage their articles and brands themselves 24-hours a day and keep up to date with the current status of their orders. In addition to the enormous time and financial saving this platform provides during order processing, this user-friendly module also offers a secure and transparent workflow for both customers and suppliers.

Its operation is quick and easy to explain: the C3 Web Portal is activated for the customer and after logging in to the password-protected area, he or she can manage, order, approve or access articles and brands. The unique feature of this innovative development is that the customer can view and easily manage their own product database online with their suppliers. The GUI allows access to approval processes; PDFs can be viewed and reviewed in real-time with no cumbersome uploading, and changes and approvals can be given online. Once the customer has completed his or her activities, e-mail confirmations ensure that the order is processed quickly by the company.

C3 users can adapt the service-oriented web portal's GUI to the company's design using CSS files, and access rights can be configured individually. Overall, this makes C3 an efficient and extremely transparent service solution that is easy to use and has short lead times and low costs, thereby offering a real benefit to both business partners.

theurer.com is also presenting another new innovation at the trade fair: the electronic Direct Machine Interface (DMI). Built on the existing C3 shop floor control system, DMI will enable the automatic recording of production times and volumes in the future, using electronic machine counters. This tool provides live production data without additional data collection effort and ensures precise recording of material use, manufactured quantities, downtimes and machine statuses. Order status and machine speed are displayed in real time in the Graphical Scheduling board. The software enables improved analysis of production data as well as a fully automatic actual costing, and is both an alternative to existing machine interfaces via JDF as well as being suitable for non-JDF-compliant machine interfaces.
